Day 9
Kids were a bit weary after their big day out the day before at Abel Tasman. Team Managers finally picked the winners in the Sandcastle contest. 1st Krockidily with a crocodile, 2nd Mole with SpongeBob, 3rd Pride of the South with a couch, and 4th The Symbol with their Symbol. The kids did a Lactate Tolerance set this morning which is quite intense in order to purposely deplete them for the afternoon session of 100 back and speed work.
Later that morning the kids had to complete a series of goal settings and sports psych questions in order for the coaches to understand the kids better.
After tea the kids had to solve some riddles, and design a 14 day fantasy team trip away with unlimited funds. Winners were The Symbol, deciding to go to Hogwarts. Highlights were playing quitich, visiting Diagon Alley, flying the invisible car, riding a dragon and all being sorted into Hufflepuff. Pride of the South 2nd, who took an exotic trip to Monaco, saw some ruins in Rome, bought Bugatti's, Ferrari's and expensive clothes. Mole was 3rd who flew round the world in their private jet, staying at the Hilton and driving Hummers everywhere. Last was Krockidily who only made it to day 6, but rode unicorns, went to Hawaii, did some Jet Skiing and also stayed in the Hilton. Note to all parents - your kids wa

Swimmers of the day were Charlotte, Sam H, Pia, Wallis, Thom, Laura, Cameron Jeffery, & Alex Yee who got 400 points instead of the usual 200 because he swam so well.
Day 10
Woke during the night to heaving rain and wind. But luckily by the time the kids hit the pool the rain had cleared. Still a bit chilly, but could have been so much worse.
Kids did an aerobic, maintenance & efficiency test in the pool. Then they watched underwater video footage which prompted an afternoon of specific stroke drills, followed by some vertical kick in the dive well.
After tea they practiced their skits for the last time before performances tomorrow night.
The Symbols egg Mr Wilson has unfortunately died. Unsure, but think Erica sat on it. He was very smelly! So only one egg now left - Speight's Playmate. (But is heavily bandaged - these will be coming off tomorrow)
The final flag by The Symbol was found by Pride of the South. All flags now found.
