Day 7
Again Alex Y & Blake were up before the Team Managers eating their cereal and toast. Keen these boys! Medley day today at the pool. All kids were dubb
ed AquaGym medley swimmers in either a 200 or 400. After 2nd breakfast the kids went outside and did a boxing circuit. All of us Team Managers look in awe at how these kids push their bodies. They are all looking so fit, strong and brown.
After lunch the kids had a well-earned rest before heading to the pool again for more Medleys. This was a hard day at the office for the team with medley's, circuits & running. Will be looking forward to a day off tomorrow.
Teams practiced their nursery rhyme skits after tea. There was lots of laughing and giggling and great team bonding going on.

Day 8
Today is Abel Tasman day. A day off from swimming. Kids rose at 7am for a cooked breakfast, made their own rolls, packed up their gear and off we headed. After reports of rain we were lucky to strike a beautiful sunny, warm day. Arrived at Marahau, and then got the Aqua Taxi's to Torrent Bay. Lots of fun on the boats as the driver did doughnuts and jumped over the boat wakes. A few kids got wet when one boat sprayed the other. We looked at split apple rock, and a seal colony before arriving at Torrent Bay. We then took at 40 minute walk to Cleopatra's Pool. The Pool was awesome with fresh cold water flowing over rocks down into deeper pools of water. The kids immediately got into their togs/bikini's and jumped in. Alex Y the monkey led the way to the top of the waterfall, climbing over slippery rocks. The water was so refreshing. We ate our lunch on the rocks under a beautiful sunny sky.
From the Pools we took another 40 minute walk to Anchorage Beach. Poor GV had hurt her leg, so big bro Alex & Arran carried her all the way. Well done to them for looking after her. Anchorage beach is beautiful with white sand. So back in the water we go for another dip. The Team's then made Sandcastles to be judged. Pride of the South made an armchair with cup holders and speakers for their i-pod. Krokidily did an excellent crocodile - Team Captain Charlotte went deep sea diving to get starfish to use for the crocodiles eyes. The Symbol made their Symbol in the sand and placed their egg Mr Wilson on it. Mole made a great Sponge Bob Square Pants using seaweed for his pants, with Gary the sea snail. They all did such an awesome job. The Team Managers are having trouble picking a winner - will keep you posted. Then back on the boats for a very bumpy trip back. Well done to Nurse Cathe for treating GV's shin, Ben's knee and my (Susan) bee sting.
Had our usual stop at T.O.A.D Hall in Motueka on the way back, for a yummy berry ice-cream.
Arrived back home weary after an awesome day out. We have another egg death. Moles Egg Miss Togetic was sat on by its own Team member Mere. RIP. Minus 1500 points. L
Team Managers got a night off cooking and the kids got Pizza. Then watched a movie and off to bed.
